Like most people who are looking into wearing a wig, you're probably also interested in finding one that is comfortable, can be styled as you like, and has a natural look and feel to it. It doesn't matter if you're looking into wigs in order to cover hair loss, to add a new dimension to your fashion wardrobe, to serve as a protective hairstyle for hair that's transitioning from relaxed to natural, or to help maintain religious observance, full lace human hair wigs offer comfort, style, and of course the natural look and feel of human hair.

Getting Comfortable
Full lace wigs are well known for how comfortable they are to wear. The wig cap is constructed of French or Swiss lace which are both very light and very breathable. You won't experience the discomfort of trapped heat and perspiration that's common with some other types of wig construction. Stretch cap, full lace wigs will adjust some to fit your head comfortably. Full lace caps without stretch will require you to provide exact measurements for making your wig, but they will give you an exact fit that's not only comfortable, but also a fit that's very secure. This makes caps without stretch a very good choice for anyone with very little or no hair.

Going Out in Style
There's no question that full lace wigs offer more styling versatility than many other types of wig construction. The full lace cap creates a natural looking hairline all the way around the head. You'll love knowing you can pull your hair up into a high ponytail or updo hairstyle without anyone being able to tell you're wearing a wig. And since the lace cap looks so much like a natural scalp, you'll be able to part your hair wherever you choose and know that it just looks like you've parted your own hair.
You'll find plenty of good quality, lace front wigs on the market as well, and they can look as natural as full lace wigs from the front. But you can only part the hair at the front and trust that the scalp showing through will look like your own. Elsewhere, the part would look more like a standard wig cap. With lace front wigs you also shouldn't expect to be able to wear high ponytails and updo hairstyles without letting on that you're wearing a wig the way you know you can with full lace wigs.
Full lace human hair wigs also allow you to use many of the same styling techniques you're used to. With carefully applied, moderate heat, you can blowdry, hot-roller, and ever flat-iron the human hair of the wig to create different looks. But take care to protect your investment! Keep in mind that you should only use moderate heat and regulate how frequently you use heat styling. Human hair can become damaged if not cared for properly, whether it's the hair on your head or the hair on your wig.

That Natural Look (and Feel)
Full lace human hair wigs are among the best choices for wigs on the market today if you're looking to enjoy one that gives the same natural look and feel as real human hair. After all, they are made with real human hair! But since human hair is not all the same, you'll still have to consider other characteristics of hair such as 'virgin', 'remy', 'yaki', the origin of the donor (Europe, China, India, Indonesia), hair color, and density in order to help get the wig that best suits you and the natural look you're going for.

Hope you're all well during these very strange times. Today's post is all about wigs - who wears them and how to make the most out of them!

Full lace wig was highly welcomed by women who suffer hair loss, baldness, alopecia, poor hairline, and other hair problems in the past days. But now, a lace wig is usually used to help women become more and more beautiful. With the increasing of people's aesthetic, wearing the full lace wigs with baby hair and keeping them in a good condition has become the common concerned points. Today, this blog focus on how to care for the full lace human hair wig, and how to keep the good condition of the full lace wigs.

What Is Full Lace Wig
Full lace wig human hair is made of 100% hand-tied lase cap base and 100% virgin human hair. All virgin Remy hair is knotted in to the lace hole by hand, so the full lace wigs with baby hair are also called as the 100% hand-tied lace front human hair wigs.

Wearing the pre-plucked full lace wig can give women a comfortable wear feeling. The entire production process is without any harmful chemical element, healthy for women.
How Long Can You Wear Full Lace Wig
The question of how long can you wear a full lace wig includes two points, one is how often you should remove the full lace wig for a complete caring, the other is how long the 100% real full lace human hair wigs will service. Now we will discuss them respectively.

How often you should remove the full lace wig?
Remove your full lace wig every day at night when you sleep is recommended to protect your full lace human hair wig and natural head. But some women feel it is too troublesome to take off the full lace wig sew in every day. So sleeping with your full lace wig with baby hair is OK if you can take good care of it when sleeping. But even so, you still need to remove your full lace wig pre-plucked every 4-6 weeks to give your Remy human hair full lace wig a complete cleaning and maintaining. You can go to a salon for a professional conditioner, or you can clean and massage by yourself. Keep the full lace wig install clean and in good condition will extend the lifespan of your best full lace human hair wig.

What's the lifespan of the full lace human hair wig
In usual terms, the lifespan of the unprocessed 100% hand-tied full lace wig is about one year. This is similar with lace front wigs and the lace front wig. But the lifespan of the full lace wig also depends on how you care for the full lace wig 100% human hair. If you can maintain the lace wig well, maybe you can wear a full lace wig for more than one year, but if you can't maintain the lace wig human hair well, maybe you can just wear it for 8 months. In order to extend the lifespan of the full lace wigs with baby hair, we will introduce some tips you should consider in the below article.

Tips On Caring The Full Lace Wig
Washing the new full lace human hair wigs for the first time you received. The washing your Remy full lace wig once a week afterward. Please note using the right method is washing and drying. You can take the below picture as a reference.
how to wash the full lace wig.

Using the right tool to style your full lace wig. Overheat tool will damage your full lace wig human hair, then shorten the lifespan of the full lace wig with baby hair. Excessive style is also bad for your full lace wig 100% human hair. If you are not sure with your skill, we recommend you can go to the hairdressers or consult your Full Lace Wigs vendors for help.
Store your fashionable human hair full lace wigs is the right way when you remove it. You can use a plastic model head to store the full lace wig virgin hair, this can help to keep the good condition of the lace wig.

Hope this post has been informative and helpful!
Have you ever tried a wig?
Hi everyone!

Long time, no blog! I realise I haven't written a blog post in over year but I'm back and thought I would kick off with a little life update.

So if you didn't already know, I'm currently in my 3rd year of studying Dentistry. As it's a 5 year course, I recently passed the half way mark (woo woo!) which was celebrated to great extents with an absoultely fabulous ball with all of my year!

I've also had 2 city breaks abroad this year which has been absolutely fab! The first was to Barcelona to visit my friend Rubin who had been studying there. I had such a lovely time, despite losing my voice and being conned out of $15 for a 'traditional herbal remedy'...

The second was to Krakow as a post exam treat - what a beautiful city! I loved all the street artwork and there were some amazing little restaurants there. We also visited Auschwitz which was a real eye opener and definitely an emotional day. The salt mines were super fun - I licked all the walls haha and I definitely now have super high blood pressure ...

I've also been elected as Treasurer for our Dental Students Society for the next year which I can't wait to get stuck into. So far, I'm loving being on committee - mainly as we have personalised polos and eat cake at the meetings...

I also had a minor breakdown regarding exams and I chopped all my hair off - in the above picture you can see a massive strand of hair which clearly I forgot to cut oops...

I've recently come out of a relationship and now have a lot more time for myself, so I'm spending this time making some really good food (posts coming soon..) and hanging out with my friends! Dental School can be cliquey at times but I feel as though I've branched out from my friendship group a lot this year and so I'm looking to strengthen those relationships.

This may be a little deep for a Sunday afternoon, but I really feel as though I'm worrying less about all the stresses life brings. I care less about what other people think and if something goes wrong I'm finding it much easier to let go! I'm also feeling much more confident and a lot less anxious about social situations. I do find myself slipping back into my old ways in terms of feeling anxious about various things, but for the most part its onwards & upwards!

At home, my mum moved house to a lovely little home in Stockport! It's beautiful and cosy and I love spending time with her back there. I'm hoping we will go on a few adventures in the summer and I endeavour to keep you all updated with our antics.

I hope you've enjoyed this little debrief & update of my life! I'd love to hear all about any news you guys have too :)

When it comes to falsies I rarely stray from my beloved Eylure 143s - they are hands down one of the best lash styles EVER. But when I saw that they had gone up to £8, EIGHT POUNDS, on the ASOS website, I took to www.falseeyelashes,co.uk to have a browse of some different styles.

I had come across the Tatti Lashes brand before but had thought nine quid - that's a bit pricey isn't it? Well it seems like that's the going rate at the minute. Also, the Tatti Lashes are mink so really they're not half as expensive as say Lily Lashes.

I was a little bit worried these might look cray on my tiny eyes but they actually look amazing - no joke! They're so fluffy and thick. The band is pretty thick but they were super easy to apply, it's like they were already moulded to my eye shape. These lashes come with a little vial of glue which was SO STICKY. In the best way possible! I really hope they sell the glue separately cos mama needs that in her life.

Overall these were an absolute dream to wear and I reckon I'll defo be getting a good 5-10 uses out of these bad boys!

If there's one thing I love more than a good ol' Beauty Hack post, it's a Hack Testing post. I've found so many good hacks over the years, my favourite being the classic hair spray on a spoolie to set your brows in place and THEN to comb back your fly aways! Seriously, hacks are awesome. So when I saw this hack to clean your make up sponge with just water, washing up liquid and a microwave, I was so excited to try it!

So this hack involves your dirty make up sponges put in a mug with washing up liquid then in the microwave for 1 minute. I was really eager to try this one because I can never seem to get all the foundation out of my sponges, so much so it ends up being easier to just buy a new one.

The outcome of this hack for me was.. interesting. I put the sponges in the microwave repeatedly with new water and washing up liquid but I couldn't get all the make up out to save my life. Like, more and more was coming out each time but it just never seemed to end - I thought I was going to be there all day! So I did sort of give up, but as you can see on the after picture of the RT Miracle Complexion Sponge there are bits of orange coming through the lovely brown foundation stain (yum). And on the mini sponges (these are from Primark and they are so fab by the way!) it worked much better. I think this must have been because I hadn't used them as much so the make up probably hadn't penetrated as deep into the sponge.

When testing this hack something to bear in mind is how dirty your sponge actually is. Now, I know you're going to think I'm utterly gross but I actually can't remember the last time I actually tried to clean it. Grim, I know. But I do think this affected the outcome massively. When I buy a new RT Sponge (which I think should be very very soon) I'm going to wash it more often using this hack and I'm pretty sure it will come up clean every time!

Overall, I feel like this hack would work a treat if your sponge isn't as foundation-logged as mine! I'm definitely going to do it more often on my sponges in the future!

Will you be trying out this hack?

I finished my exams a few weeks ago and with June in full swing now I can finally ditch the revision and focus on other exciting projects! I've got a long summer this year and I'm desperate to make the most of it so I've compiled a little June To Do List involving all of my summer goals.

1. Get my blog in order
HOW long have I been saying this for now? I really want to start posting regularly (say twice a week) and summer is the perfect time for me to get into the swing of things. I also am desperate to improve my photography as I feel its really holding my blog back.

2. Declutter
I seriously need to declutter my room at home. Since being at Uni I've bought so many new things, I've got no idea how on earth they're all going to fit in my room at home. I'm going to start with taking all the clothes I don't wear to the charity shop/recycling centre - I literally have clothes from when I was about 11 years old. I also have tons of old make up lying about at home that I know I never use as I haven't taken it to Uni with me. Not to mention all my old school work and revision that will need to be recycled too! Sounds like this could follow on into July.

3. Spend time with my mum
Now that I'm at Uni, my mum is at home all on her own, rattling about in our house. Not helped by the fact all of our family live in Kent and we're up here in Manchester! I'm really going to make an effort to spend time with her this holiday and do loads of lovely Mother-Daughter activities. As well as help her around the house whenever I can

4. Do a little bit of exercise
Exercise really isn't something I do on a regular basis. I won't lie, I'm an avid walker - and a particularly fast one too. But tell me to run/swim/any other form of exercise and I will quickly refuse. However, I'm going on holiday at the end of June and want to look my best in a swimming cozzie so I'm going to take part in the 30 Day Shred again as I really enjoyed it last year!

5. Get creative with my make up and hair
This is a bit of a silly one, but I always feel in a rut with my make up! I just immediately reach for the warm toned eyeshadows, but I really want to try new products and techniques to switch it up a little bit!

So, there you have it - my June To Do List, what's on yours?

It was majorly praised for its high coverage whilst having a really light weight feel on the skin, however it was bashed for the poor shade range for deeper skin tones. Having had this foundation for a good 6 months now, I think it's time to give my verdict on this cult classic.
Marc Jacob says,

"All day weightless finish. Beyond full coverage"

Retailing at £37 you would certainly expect this foundation to live up to this claim. In terms of coverage and texture I completely agree - it's such full coverage as it contains twice as much pigment as a regular foundation. It also has a surprisingly thin consistency considering the coverage it gives. It terms of a "weightless finish", I'm not sure I agree. Yes, it is very light on the skin, but does it look weightless? No, I don't think so. It certainly doesn't look overly heavy, but you can certainly tell you have got foundation on - which for me isn't a problem at all. In terms of "all day" I also disagree, it melts off my nose by the end of my day at uni which I do sort of expect. It also transfers onto clothes and other people, as well as masks (not ideal when you were a surgical mask for a good few hours a day). I also can find it to go a little cakey during the day - sorry Marc.

I find this foundation a little difficult to apply on my nose, granted it is one of my problem areas. I suffer from large pores/blackheads and so it can often cake up in that area. I usually apply this with my RT Miracle Complexion Sponge but on my nose I find I have to use a little brush and really swirl it into my pores (yum). I also find it can cling to dry patches when using a brush.

The shade range is great if you're from light to medium skin tone, if you're any darker then unfortunately you might struggle. I would consider myself very pale and ordered myself the lightest shade which is Ivory 10. To my surprise, this was actually far too light for me, but I rolled with it anyway, mixing in a little bit of a darker foundation to actually match me. For this reason, I would definitely try to get matched in a store if you're looking to buy this foundation as it can be very difficult to tell.

The packaging. Oh, the packaging. It comes in a glass bottle with a little screw on lid and dropper. It looks gorgeous and so luxurious but it's actually very impractical. A lot of product gathers where the lid screws on so you actually waste a ton of foundation and it's a bugger to clean.

Despite wearing this foundation everyday for the past 6 months, I doubt I will be repurchasing this foundation again. For just short of forty quid, I expected it to last a little longer and to not go cakey during the day.

So, I'm still on my quest to find the perfect foundation, have you got any favourites?

I stumbled across The Ordinary brand whilst doing my routine browse of ASOS and I couldn't believe the range of products they were selling - and for the price tag too! I quickly did a little bit of research and settled on the Lactic Acid 5% and HA 2% serum.

Alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) and Hyaluronic Acids (HAs) are all the rage in skin care products at the moment. Lactic acid is an AHA and is said to exfoliate your skin which over time should improve texture, fade pigmentation and reduce fine lines, Whereas HAs hydrate your skin and also has anti ageing properties. Having dull, dry and congested skin myself, I always wanted to try Hydraluron however I couldn't justify splashing the cash knowing there was a (pretty high) chance it could lead to my eczema flaring up. So I was so excited to bag a bargain at only £4.95 (10% student discount holla).

With this particular product, it says to apply once a day and preferably at night. The product is dispensed through a little dropper, helping you to get the correct amount you need - which isn't much!
I apply this after I've washed my face and follow up with moisturiser. I was a little concerned this might make my face feel tight/dry but it hasn't so far!

I have been using this for about a week now and I feel as though I've noticed improvements mainly in my skin texture; I don't have half as many little bumps as I used to! I haven't noticed too much of an improvement in terms of hydration yet. I've been make up free for the past week due to revision so I think I will notice more when I start wearing it again (next fri!!!).

My only issue with this product is that I have noticed a few little spots on my face recently. I don't tend to get little ones, only huge horrible ones so this is a change for me! I don't know if its due to this product or stress from exams, but I'll be sure to keep you updated!

Overall I have been really enjoying this product and will definitely carry on using it! I really want to try a few others from their range too.

Yes, my tea really is that milky.

Exam season has reared it's ugly head once again. No one enjoys it, no matter how much you love the subject you're studying. The library's full. Your room's a mess as you don't have time to tidy it. Your mind says hummus and pitta but your summer bod says salad with no dressing. Overall it's just a very, very stressful time. Whether you're doing GCSEs, A-levels or Finals, everyone can benefit from these top tips to de-stress whilst studying.

Take a break
Revision breaks are an absolute must. You can't sit there and concentrate on one subject for hours on end, it's just not physically possible. Scientists say you should adopt the Pomodoro technique - 20 minutes of work and 5 minutes of rest. Although I don't use this technique religiously, I do make sure I have plenty of breaks and switch up the subjects I'm studying as to not get bored.

Exercise
Now I'm not asking you to run a marathon or do an intense session in the gym (but if you're up for that then GO YOU, BOO!) but I find getting up off my arse really helps motivate me.. even if that is just to walk to the fridge. Jokes aside, walking in the fresh air on a nice day can really help to clear your mind and help you to feel refreshed. I like to walk around the local park on my revision break - kill 2 birds with one stone!

Don't burn yourself out
You don't want to burn the candle at both ends during the exam period. If you work better in the mornings, perhaps go to bed a little earlier to ensure you get enough sleep. Similarly if you work better in the evenings, there's no point finishing your work at 3am then trying to wake up at 7am! You'll just be exhausted for the rest of the day and end up getting less done that if you'd woken up at 11am.

Stay hydrated
Staying hydrated is really important for brain function, and being dehydrated can give you headaches which are not fun when you're studying! Keep a bottle of water by your desk (preferably a big one so you don't have to fill it up) and remember to just sip on it every now and then. Your whole body will thank you for it.

Have something to look forward to
This can be in the short term or the long term, but it will make you feel more motivated to get your work done sharpish! For example, maybe have your favourite meal for dinner after a long day of studying. Or even plan a night out with your besties after your last exam! I've got a holiday planned at the end of June with my friends to Malaga and I can't wait. Remember, exam period is only temporary but the results are permanent...

So there we have my top five tips on how to make exam season a little bit less stressful. Of course, it's nothing groundbreaking but I think we all need reminding every now and then!

I've got my end of first year exams in a few weeks and I'm so nervy, praying the Dentistry Gods will help me.

Have you got any studying tips?

2017 is definitely the year of the gloss; beautifully glossy lips, eyes and skin are all over social media at the moment and I am loving it. Nothing better than a slapping a bit of lip gloss on and being good to go rather than being paranoid throughout the day that you have the dreaded crusty lip (cringe). Nevertheless, matte lips do have their place in my make up stash as I'm sure they do in yours too! For this reason, I thought I'd give you the lowdown on some of my go to glosses and most used mattes. Only a coincidence they're all from NYX - and all nudes of course!

Starting with my first EVER product from NYX, the Soft Matte Lip Cream in London (£6.00)is a brown nude that dries down to a matte finish. This one has such a lovely texture, it's not drying at all but comfortable on the lips and ever so easy to apply. There will be no flaky lips in sight with this one. The only downside is that it doesn't have the longevity of liquid lipsticks so you will have to reapply this during the day.

The NYX Lip Lingerie (£7.00) products had such major hype surrounding them, being the first affordable set of nude liquid lippies and all. I got the shade Baby Doll which is a light pink-nude, perfect for everyday. The formula lasts a hell of a lot longer compared to the SMLC but this does come with the added dryness.. You can combat this easily with a slick of lip balm underneath and a good exfoliator beforehand! I prefer to pat this into my lips for a lovely effortless glam look.

Now for the newest additions to my collection... the glosses! My absolute fave has to be the Butter Gloss in Fortune Cookie (£5.50). It's the ultimate nude gloss that makes your lips look SO plump that you could give Kylie Jenner a run for her money! It's perfect on its own for an everyday look or layered over the Lip Lingerie in Baby Doll. This has the longevity of a standard gloss but fades really nicely and is soooo easy to apply.

Onto the Butter Gloss's more potent sister, it's the Intense Butter Gloss in Apple Dumpling (£6.00). This gloss is extremely thick, verging on sticky but I love it nevertheless. It can be a bit of a mare when it's windy up here in Sheffield as you will get your hair and about one million other things stuck to it, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to take. I tend to use this alone or just with a little bit of lip liner and it looks gorg. I'm tempted to get more of a nude shade next time as I think it would look really pretty.

I've got some of the new Lip Lingerie shades on my wish list, have you?

Let us take a moment to appreciate these eyelashes *insert praying emoji here*.

As of late I've been ditching my precious falsies on uni nights out as they end up half way down my chin about an hour into pre drinks. Or worse, down the toilet in Paris after having an emosh chat with one of my uni BFFs. Either way, due to my false lash abstinence during term time, I get giddy with the thought of a classy (as classy as a manc gal will ever be) night out on Bank Hol where I don't have to worry about getting a Blue Pint in my hair and feeling sticky for the next 2 weeks. And of course with any classy night out comes with a fab pair of fluttery lashes. I opted for the Fleek Lashes in the style 'Cami'. They're lovely and wispy so you can actually see your eyeshadow! The band is very thin so no need to go Winehouse style on the liner. This particular style were a bit of a pain to apply so I would definitely wear these a few times around the house so they mould to your eye shape - you don't want them pinging off as you drink your Pornstar, do you?

Fleek Lashes in 'Cami' retail for £6.99 and can be found at www.falseeyelashes.co.uk!

Thank you for reading huns, what are your fave pair of falsies?

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette. Do I need to say anymore?

If you haven't heard about this palette then you must be living under a rock as this eye shadow palette quickly become a cult beauty product in the blogger world (and also in my own make up bag!).

Filled with orange tones and pinks this couldn't be more up my street if I'm honest. In saying that, there really is something for everyone in this palette with a few cool tones and neutral shimmers. The shades I've used the most are Burnt Orange, Realgar, Love Letter and Venetian Red - they're all gorgeous!

The quality and blendability of these shadows makes doing your eye make up 10 times quicker and easier, they are melt into each other beautifully. I also haven't experienced any creasing whilst wearing these shadows (they have even survived a Corp night out - if you know, you know). The only issue I have with that there is a lot of fall out with these (like a lot) so you are likely to hit pan quickly which is sooooo sad.

The palette is a bit on the spenny side at £41 but if you like these shades, it's definitely worth it! I just can't wait for ABH single shadows to come to the UK - BeautyBay please.

Thanks for reading,

Since entering the world of eBooks and Goodreads at the start of this summer, I have discovered so many new books and authors that I have truly fallen in love with. They all seem to be of a murder mystery come psychological thriller genre and very Gillian Flynn-esque. I thought I'd share a few that I've read - the good, the bad and the ugly - to hopefully give you some bookspiration if you're not sure what to read next.

It all started with The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins which is an absolutely fab book that had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I think I may have finished the book within about 2-3 days as I just couldn't put it down. The book is narrated by the different characters which I find makes it more fast pace as you are eager to find out what's happening next with a particular character. The characters are fab and I feel as though I can relate to all 3 of the main ladies in the book in some way which I like as I find it engages the reader a bit more. Overall a fantastic book and I would recommend to anyone and everyone!

After finishing that book, I needed something to fill the mystery-and-suspense-less void in my life and so took to Google to tell me which books were like TGOTT. I came across The Good Girl by Mary Kubica which is all about the kidnapping of a young girl. Whilst reading this book I really wasn't a fan and I almost hated the characters - giving them the eye roll whenever something totally predictable happened. However on reflection, I did actually enjoy it as there is a cheeky plot twist at the end however it's not really developed enough to score as highly as TGOTT, but a fab book nonetheless.

The next three novels are all by the same author. Of course, it's Gillian Flynn. I honestly have no idea how it has taken me so long to discover her but she is honestly amazing. Now you will have all read at least one her books. It's Gone Girl, of course. An absolutely FAB book that I can't rave about enough. After I finished the book I couldn't wait to watch the film, but sadly I felt sad/annoyed at the casting choice of Amy and Nick (and Desi) and so switched it off. This has slightly tainted my image of Gone Girl but definitely give the book a read if you haven't all ready. After Gone Girl I read Dark Places which is also a fab, murder mystery told by different characters in both the past and present day. It's definitely worth the read if you enjoyed Gone Girl. I then read Sharp Objects which is my absolute fave. Seriously. It's amazing. It's most certainly on par with Gone Girl (I personally prefer Sharp Objects after the Gone Girl film fiasco) and is definitely not a predictable story line in the slightest. Flynn definitely knows how to keep us on our toes, doesn't she?

I came across the Luckiest Girl Alive by Jessica Knoll during one of my Google searches which is one I probably won't be raving about as much. The thing is, there wasn't really a story line and it almost felt as if it wasn't going anyway. After reading such amazing books with the craziest of plot twists by Gillian Flynn, I was just underwhelmed with this book unfortunately. I felt like there were so many characters that just weren't developed enough and I can barely remember what it was about.

Similarly, Dare Me by Megan Abbott was another reasonably boring book in comparison to others. It's about cheerleaders in high school which makes the writing style and themes very unsophisticated compared to books like Gone Girl. Furthermore, after reading some of the reviews on Goodreads, it appears that there are some pretty confusing mistakes in the book like bleachers in the locker room, the coaching having a bob one week then plaits the next etc etc. Despite this, I have given the author another go and I am now reading The End of Everything. I'm about half way through but whether I actually finish it...

If you'd like to follow me on Goodreads you can here.

What books have you been reading this summer?

Lots of love,

Nights out are great, right? Until you realise you've forgetten your ID, debit card or even worse - eyelash glue!!! For this reason, I have compiled a checklist of all the things you should be stuffing in your tiny clutch for a night on the toon.

Phone - goes without saying. How else are you going to remember your night out without the hilarious/hideous photos on your camera roll. Or if you're like me, the double chinned selfie posted on your snapchat story.

Keys - even if you're on the pull and plan on going home with someone else - always bring your keys! It could go tits up (not in a good way).

Money/debit card - for when you're feeling generous and decide to get the next round.. again.

ID - depending on your age and if you have a baby face like me, this one is probably optional.

Eyelash glue - as mentioned before, this is an absolute essential. You can't be walking round with a wonky eyelash or with one half way down your cheek. Also there's no greater feeling than offering your tiny vial of glue to a girl in need in the loos.

Perfume - if you don't fancy buying a spray from the 'no Armani, no punani' toilet attendant, it's best to bring your own perfume. Realistically, you don't want to be carrying a whole bottle round all night so it's good to invest in a Traval O mini refillable one.

Lipstick - there's nothing worse than getting a drink with no straw and having all of your lippy disappear within 2 minutes of arrival, so make sure you bring your favourite lip product with you for a cheeky top up in the ladies. Preferably bring a nude so you don't end up leaving the club looking like the Joker.

Powder & Brush - so you don't look like a sweaty mess. Enough said.

I'd love to hear what your essentials are on a night out!

Hey guys. Long time no see, huh? It's been a while. As much as I'd love to say I'm back for good and shall be posting more regularly, I can't. My life has been pretty busy as of late and I can't say that's going to change. However, I'm really gonna try and make this work!

As the title suggests, the topic of this post will be all about A level results and the daunting task that is heading off to University! Whether you've just got your results and are planning the 7 day bender that is freshers. Or your uni days feel like a life time ago, I'm hoping you both can still enjoy this post. I'm the former, after collecting my results on the 18th (3A*s, don't you know?) I've been very much looking forward to arriving to my flat later on this month. I'm going to be studying Dentistry and the University of Sheffield and couldn't be more chuffed with myself to be very honest. My exams felt like they went bloody awful and I was pooing myself on the morning of results. However, all is well.

I actually haven't bought much for Uni yet which is making me feel very unprepared. I'm thinking of bringing most things from home like plates, bowls, bedding etc etc. It's very nerve racking, isn't it? You can probably tell I'm nervous from my erratic, no structure prose in this post. If only to be as organised as the picture I've used suggests. Actually, I've just come across The Organised Student on Pinterest and think they're bloody fab. They've even got me googling desk organiser.

I'm hoping to do an updated post re university when I'm there (if I survive) and hopefully maybe have a series on it. If anyone is looking to go to university or is doing A levels at the moment and has any questions, I'd love to help.

Lots of love,

I have started 2016 as I mean to go on, being a little bit naughty by handing over quite a bit of $$ to the lovely people in Boots. In saying that, I did justify every purchase with a valid reason, valid being used very loosely here as I'm not sure that "treat yo' self" is the best justification by any means.

Anywho, the damage has been done so I thought why not share it with you all. I'll start off with one of my most favourite purchase, the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder (£19.50), I've been lusting over this product for far too long now and as soon as I saw it was in stock in Space NK I knew I needed it. I even paid £5 for shipping. (Yes, £5!!!) Although I haven't had this product for very long, I have been really liking it and will probably do a review very soon! Another one of favourite purchase has to be the MAC Prep and Prime 24 Hour Extend Eye Base (£16), I have just recently written a post on this explaining why I love it. In short, it's great and I definitely prefer it to their paint pots! I also purchased three nail polishes, one was one of the new Barry M Sunset Nail Paint (£4.99) but I haven't got much use out of this as I didn't realise you needed the top coat with it to see the full effect. The other two nail polishes are from Urban Outfitters which I only bought to get the total in my bag up to get free delivery (we've all been there.. admit it). Even so, the nude shade is really pretty and almost a terracotta colour which I think will look very apt as we move into Spring. The other is a glitter polish which seems a bit poo, I'm sure I'll still get some use out of it though. After buying the Morphe 35P palette I really wanted a purple base to make the eyeshadows pop even more, so I got the Barry M Bold Waterproof Liner in Purple (£3.99) on a bit of a whim but I could not believe how beautiful this product is! It's lovely and creamy and lasts such a long time, I could not recommend this product enough. I'm definitely going to be making another trip to Boots to pick up a few more shades from the range. Two skincare items I purchased included the Body Shop Hemp Face Protector (£8) and the Una Brennan Superfacialist Vitamin C+ Skin Renew Cleansing Oil (£10.99). I hoped these two would help the dry skin on my face as I suffer with eczema, however I felt like they made it much worse! It's such a shame as the Una Brennan Super Facialist Cleanser felt so lovely on the skin and removed make up in a flash! I may try them again after my eczema has cleared up but I am a little scared it could cause it to flare up again.

MAC Prep and Prime 24 Hour Extended Eye Base, Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer, Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder

For me, concealer is both a blessing and a curse. Yes, it covers my dark circles and certainly makes me look wide awake, yet it always creases on me and settles into fine lines making me look 18 going on 80! It's really not a good look and choosing between looking young and tired or old and awake is a tough one for me. So, I've been on the hunt for products I can use in conjunction with my concealer to stop me from looking a creasy mess. First up I use the MAC Prep and Prime 24 Hour Extend Eye Base (£16) to prep my under eyes. As this product is intended to prime the lids to prevent creasing of eyeshadows, it works wonders in preventing the concealer and powder from creasing and moving during the day. I have quite dry under eyes and I have to say this product is great for me as it doesn't dry out my under eyes but rather smooths everything out. Next up is the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer (£17.50) which I just apply in thin layers under my eyes, then using either a damp make up sponge or my fingers to blend it in. This concealer is very lightweight yet provides a decent amount of coverage. Next up is a new addition to my stash, the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder (£19.50), I take a small amount of this on a brush and gently pat the concealer into place. I find this product really is the star of the show as it helps to prevent creasing and just blurs any fine lines! As I mentioned, I have only just got my hands on this product so I'm not sure how it performs when flash photography is involved but I will do a full review very soon!
Let us just take a moment to appreciate the Morphe 35O Palette (£20.75)

The 35O Palette is one of Morphe's most coveted beauty products and I'm sure we can all see why, although these photos really do not do any of the shades justice. It is an absolutely stunning palette full of warm browns, golds and burnt orange eyeshadows with a variety of finishes including matte, satin and super-shimmery. The pigmentation in most of these shadows are phenomenal! I say most as a few of the shades did let me down a little as they didn't feel as high quality as the rest of the shadows. A few of my favourites include the top shade on the second to last column, it doesn't look anything special in the pan but it looks amazing on the eye as a transition shade! I also love using the third shadow down in that same column in the centre of my lid when doing a spot light eye. I'm going to be posting a make up look using this palette soon so keep your eyes peeled for that one! I would highly recommend this palette to anyone that loves eyeshadow, in particularly warm shades. This palette does go out of stock very quickly so if you want it you will have to be quick as it's every man for himself out there ;) For reference, stockists include Beauty Bay, Beauty Chamber, Cult Beauty or the Morphe website.

Watching YouTube tutorials is definitely one of my favourite past times and has been for many years now. I have a few favourite YouTubers whose tutorials I just have to watch as not only is the make up amazing but also the personality that shines through in their videos make me love them even more. In saying that, I'm not sure my bank balance feels the same way as many of these online sensations have caused me to depart with my cash on multiple occasions! I thought I'd sum up some of the most recent purchases that have been heavily inspired by a few of my favourite bloggers.

First up is something that Nikkie from NikkieTutorials raves about in almost every video, of course its the Nivea Men Post Shave Balm (£5.29). Nikkie says that the second most used ingredient is glycerine and glycerine makes stuff stick to it therefore helping all of your base make up to last all day. I've been using this as a primer for a few months now and I absolutely love it! With this 8primer, foundations that used to slide off my face half way through the day now last right until I get home from Sixth Form, granted I still get a bit shiny in the t-zone but it still works wonders! I'd highly recommend you pick this up next time you're in Boots or Superdrug, I can guarantee you won't regret it! Another product I bought because of Nikkie is also theBalm's Mary Lou Manizer (£15.70) which is a lovely pale gold highlighter. Many bloggers, youtubers and instagrammers sing Mary Lou's praises and rightly so! It's very intense and it's quite easy to go overboard with this one but, as Nikkei would say, you can never have too much glow!

The next two are because of Jaclyn Hill and they are both for under the eyes. The first product is the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer (£17.50) which is a lovely lightweight concealer that has a medium coverage. This is definitely one of the best concealers I've ever used as it doesn't look too cakey under the eyes (although it does crease like a mf on me). As it is so lightweight it's also great for highlighting too! The other product is Emphasise Shaping Powder from MAC (£16.50)which I like to use after I've set my under eyes with my face powder then I use the tiniest amount of Emphasise as it does have some shimmer running through it. I only really use this when I'm going for full on glam as I do find this powder a little bit too much for everyday.

If you're a make up addict and on instagram you're probably already aware of Jamie Genevieve who is just a make up genius/wizard/all round goddess. Well, after spending an afternoon watching all of her tutorials I knew I had to get the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade (£15). Jamie's eyebrows looked amazing after using this as well as making the application look absolutely effortless. She also explained how to create a softer brow with the product and also a more defined brow and gave some expert tips to make the application as easy as possible. I now use Dip Brow almost every time I do my brows and I haven't looked back since!

If you're a fan of Lauren Curtis you will know she always raves about the L'Oreal True Match Foundation (£9.99) and how lovely it looks on the skin. I had already tried this foundation before watching her videos but I decided to give it another go after watching her videos and now it is my everyday go-to foundation! It is definitely one of the best more affordable foundations out there and it's definitely worth a try if you're on the market for a new one.

A few more of my favourite YouTubers I'd like to give a mention to are Katy from LustreLux, Chrisspy, Desi Perkins, Rach Leary and Manny MUA - go check em out if you haven't already!
Happy New Year!

I hope you're all having a fabulous start to 2016! I thought I would start this year as I mean to go on by finally getting back into blogging. I have some posts lined up and hopefully this year I'll be posting much more frequently than last year! I'm not really making any proper New Year's resolutions that are set in stone as I never keep them anyway. Instead I'm just going to try my best in everything I do. I'm also going to try not to get too addicted to social media and compare myself to others as that can really get you down sometimes! Anyway, I hope 2016 is amazing for all of us and it is full of fun and happiness. I'm determined to make this year my year (although I think I said the exact same thing last year lol) for blogging and everything else that I wasn't so good at last year.
Most posts you'll see on Olivia Rose's are all beauty based but this is about to change. More lifestyle posts will come along with my crochet project! I learnt how to crochet last year and I really want to get back into it now that winter is round the corner. This is just an introductory post to my project but there are many more posts to come regarding my crochet journey, including patterns, creations, inspirations and much more! Seeing as I do only post twice a week at the moment, these sorts of posts may be popping up on your feed around every fortnight or so.

I know crochet isn't for everyone but I really hope you enjoy these posts!

Sorting through my make up collection on the weekend got me thinking about not only the products I use most regularly but also the brands. I've found that I have a lot of MAC stuff - particularly base products - I think it's because its not too expensive. Don't get me wrong I always have to justify splurging £20 on a foundation from MAC but it's nowhere near spending £30+ on one from brands such as Nars or Illamasqua. I thought I would just put together a little post to show you some of my fave face products from MAC.

As far as primers go it has to be Strobe Cream (£24.50), it packs a punch and will leave your face hydrated and glowy. I particularly like this in the winter months as I feel my skin gets a little drier so this nifty little product helps to instantly perk it up, no matter what foundation I put over the top. You can also mix this in with your foundation or use it post- foundation by dabbing it on the high points of your face. Another quite glowy product is the famous Face and Body Foundation (£22). This particular one took me a while to get used to as it has such an odd consistency! I've resorted to putting it on with a damp beauty sponge as I feel on my skin I get the best finish, but please do let me know how you guys apply it! I tend to use this foundation for events when I know there will be flash photography as it has no SPF so you won't get the dreaded flash back! A thing to watch out for with this foundation is that it is very dark - I have the lightests one yet I can only really pull it off after bathing in self tan. Pro Longwear Concealer (£17.50) is very much a cult product in the beauty world. It gives a great coverage and it is amazing for highlighting under the eyes if you get a few shades lighter. You also get tons of product with this one - always a bonus! Talking about highlighting under the eyes, I recently purchased the Shaping Powder in Emphasise (£16) which I use very sparingly under my eyes to brighten them. It's got a tiny bit of shimmer so you do sometimes have to use a light hand. It's also great for highlighting other areas of the face and as an eyeshadow. I use it every day (I've even hit pan..) and can't imagine using anything else. I personally don't think it adds that much coverage but rather just helps to smooth everything over. Last but not least, Lightscapade Mineralise Skin Finish (£24) is one of the first high end products I ever bought! About 2 years on and I'm still loving it. I like to use it with Mary Loumanizer from The Balm to get my highlight poppin. However, it can be used on its own for a slight glow from within.

It's that time of year again!

As we are moving into the Christmas season (I've already got my advent calendar..) I've got a few events lined up for this month and the next so I thought I would show you how I prep my skin before getting my cake on.

First up is my moisturiser which is the Garnier Essentials Hydrating Day Care (£4.39). I use this everyday and find it sinks into my skin really nicely whilst still hydrating my skin. If my skin is feeling a little dry I may use the Origins Drink Up Overnight Mask(£23) (not pictured) the night before. I then go in with the Nivea For Men After Shave Balm (£5.35) as a primer. NikkieTutorials raves about this all the time as it has glycerine as the main ingredient which makes make up stick to it. Around my eyes I go in with a mini sample of the Origins GinZing Eye Cream (£20) which is really hydrating and refreshing. I find this helps under eyes from looking dry when I apply my concealer. To give my skin a dewy look I put MAC Strobe Cream (£24.50) on the highest points of my face including my cheekbones, centre of the forehead and the bridge of my nose. This just helps to give that glow from within look and prevents my skin from looking too matte/flat. The Benefit Porefessional (£24.50) is great for applying to the t-zone and under the eyes as it helps to smooth out by problem areas whilst preventing my concealer from creasing. I'm not sure if it aids the longevity of my make up as I'm still trialling it!

The Origins Mask Marvels Set (£30) is a great Christmas present for anyone and everyone (including yourself). The gift set contains Clear Improvement Active charcoal mask, Out of Trouble 10 minute mask, Ginzing Refreshing face mask, Drink Up Intensive Overnight mask.

There is a great range of products in the set so it really caters for everyone, from those with dull and dry skin to those that lie on the oiler side of the spectrum. I personally have been enjoying using all of the masks despite my very dry skin! A gift set containing mini products also gives a great opportunity to try out a bunch of new products without burning a hole in your pocket. With all of the masks, a little goes a very long way so you really are getting your money's worth with these bad boys! My personal favourites so far include the Clear Improvements Active Charcoal mask and the Drink Up Intensive Overnight mask.

The set costs £30 which works out at £7.50 per mini mask (which contains 50ml) saving you £16 if you were to buy the mini masks separately. I'd pick one up quickly though as I can imagine they will be very popular!
